Emile Heskey today dismissed suggestions that he was an expensive failure at Liverpool.
The England striker cost Gerard Houllier £11million in 2000 but moved to Birmingham last month for £6.25m.
Heskey said: "The one thing that did get to me was an article saying I'd flopped at Liverpool. I went there to win trophies and I won five.
"I only missed out on the Premiership and the Champions League. I was switched around a lot because I am versatile."
