Chewbacca star Peter Mayhew is being treated in hospital for pneumonia.
The 70-year-old actor - who has starred in the Star Wars franchise since the '70s - was forced to cancel a personal appearance at a comic shop in Texas after being hospitalised.
But fans of Han Solo’s furry companion need not worry as Mayhew’s wife Anne has said that he will make a full recovery.

In a statement on Reddit she wrote: “Thank you for all the well wishes, prayers, good vibes, and happy thoughts.
“Peter is indeed in the hospital with pneumonia. He will make a full recovery, and hope to be discharged within a few days. Doctors are incredibly happy with his improvements.

“Sorry for the absence, we left our tablets at home, so we have been unable to post to reddit for a bit. I'll make sure he pops in later in the day.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!”
A short statement on Twitter also confirmed his recovery.
Mayhew is set to reprise his role as the loveble Wookie for Star Wars: The Force Awakens later this year.
The film, which is currently in production, will be released on December 18.
