Being a redhead isn't always easy.
People with ginger locks are often the target of crude jokes and ridicule, but a new exhibition aims to change people's impressions.
Red Hot opened last night at the The Gallery in Redchurch Street, east London, and runs until December 22.

Creator Thomas Knights hopes the project will "showcase a positive outlook on the red-haired male".
He said: "In the UK and throughout the world, being ginger and male comes with many stigmas attached. Many are bullied at school and for some, even later in life.
"As far as I can see, no one has focused on the huge, polarised gap between the way our society perceives red headed women and red headed males.

"No other hair colour has this level of gender inequality in any society, and Red Hot holds a mirror up to the pre-conceived limitations we put on the red headed males."
Proceeds from a calendar produced in conjunction with the exhibition will go to the Anti Bulling Alliance.
