A police chase ended after the fleeing suspects’ car ploughed through the garden wall of a house in south London.
Officers arrested three men on suspicion of a range of offences including the possession of drugs following the crash in Green Lane, Thornton Heath, shortly before midnight on Monday.
A Met spokesman said police in a marked car had tried to stop the car but it failed to stop, meaning officers gave chase until the suspects came to an abrupt halt when they collided with a wall.
Pictures posted on Twitter by Croydon MPS appeared show a “large quantity of cannabis” police say was later found in the car.

Other photographs showed the dramatic extent of damage the smash caused to a resident’s front garden.
The spokesman added three men aged 18, 19 and 20 were arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drug as well as a series of other offences including dangerous driving and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent.
