A fifth teenager has been arrested in connection with the murder of Matthew Kitandwe in Battersea.
Promising footballer Matthew was fatally in the communal stairwell of a block of flats in Wayford Street, just after 4pm on Tuesday, June 21.
Police and paramedics raced to the scene, but 18-year-old Matthew, a student at South Thames College, was pronounced dead about an hour later.
Detectives investigating Matthew's death have this morning arrested a 13-year old boy on suspicion of murder.
He was taken into custody at a south London police station.
A 15-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday afternoon in connection with Matthew's death.
The arrest was made in Croydon and the boy was taken to a south London police station, where he has been bailed to return on a date in mid-September.
Three others who were arrested on suspicion of murder remain on bail.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, June 23, and has since been bailed until a date in August.
A 16-year old boy arrested on Monday, June 27, and a 17-year-old boy arrested on Friday, July 8 have been bailed until September.
