AUSTRALIAN resources company MIM Holdings, which is in talks with London-listed Xtrata on a A$3bn (£1.1bn) merger, has slid into the red with a A$204m half-year loss. MIM was hit by A$191m provisions for the closure of its Avonmouth zinc smelter near Bristol and another in Germany.
