International Women’s Day 2018: Watch ‘Disney princesses’ team up for #MeToo anthem music video
The Furytales, a group of female creatives and activists, have created a music video in the guise of Disney princesses speaking out about their experiences with abusive men.
The song was written for the 2017 Portobello Panto, a community pantomime that takes place in West London every year to support local charities, with Adwoa Aboah, Kate Moss and Sienna Miller among the A-list names who have had cameo roles.
“We wanted to engage audiences (young and old) to question the fairy-tales that we teach young girls – to deconstruct these glossed over narratives and look at the disturbing realities at the centre,” the group said.

The video has been created in conjunction with Safe Gigs for Women, an initiative that aims to establish a safer environment for women at gigs.
