The price of oil climbed above $64 a barrel today thanks to a decline in the dollar and a sharp rise in Asian stocks.
US crude put on 54 cents to $64.10 and brent crude added 55 cents to $65.93. The cost of crude rose 6.1% last week, the first time in a month that it has posted a weekly gain, amid growing hopes of a global economic recovery.
